The adapter allows you to attach to your 1.25" accessory with ease using the brass compression ring. This adapter is also threaded for 2" filters or any other accessory with a 2" barrel, such as diagonal or focuser. When you wish to switch back to 2" accessories, it is simple and fast to remove this adapter to reveal the original barrel size.
