Dobsonian telescopes are incredibly easy to use with the "Lazy Susan" styled base. The alt-azimuth design of this mount allows users to direct the telescope anywhere in a full 360° circle, as well as move the Newtonian reflecting telescope up and down.

This Newtonian Reflector OTA has an aperture of 6", a focal length of 1200 mm, and a focal ratio of f/7.9. This combination makes the 6" DT Dob the perfect visual telescope for entry-level observers.

On-the-Go Telescope

The 6" Dobsonian is also very portable, and all that is needed to set up the scope is to place the OTA in the rocker-box, add your eyepiece and finder, and you are good to go! You can add additional accessories (not included) from there to expand your observation toolbox.

Included Accessories

The Apertura DT6 comes with a 1.25" Crayford style focuser, a 6x30 straight through finderscope, a 25mm eyepiece, and a lens cap:

• Crayford Style 1.25" Focuser: This single speed, 1.25" focuser is great for obtaining a focus that resists wobble and backlash. The smooth spring loaded shaft will ensure that you keep focus throughout your observations. It will accept 1.25" eyepieces.

• 6x30 Finder: This straight through finder is a great way to help you find celestial objects, whether it means centering the moon or taking a gander at the stars in Orion's Belt. The straight through design also eliminates the need for a correct image erecting prism.

• 25mm Plossl Eyepiece: The 25mm Plossl Eyepiece is a fantastic addition to this DT6 Dob. The eyepiece has a 1.25" barrel, a 52° field of view, and 22mm of eye relief. It can also accept 1.25" filters and has a 4-element optical lens design. With the multi-coated lens surface and the blackened lens edges, this eyepiece is great for delivering crisp and clear images!

• Lens Cap: Placing the included lens cap on the front end of your telescope will protect the mirrors from the majority of dust accumulation.
